Anti-Ragging Cell :

Introduction:

Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya , Haripal, Hooghly , has constituted  anti- ragging committee in the year of 2021-2022 as per UGC guidelines . The following instructions are formed to prevent the menace of ragging and foster healthy inter -personal relations among students in the campus of the college. Ragging is strictly forbidden inside or outside of the college campus. All students are familiarizing themselves with rules, regulations, and guidelines on the code of conduct, anti-ragging measure and discipline of the college.

As per the guidelines of UGC (6.3, 6.4) dated, 4^th July 2009 an anti- ragging committee, anti-ragging squad, and a monitoring cell has been formed. The role of anti-ragging squad is to conduct on the spot enquiry into any accident of ragging and referred to it by the head of the institution, the enquiry reports along with recommendations shall be submitted to the anti- ragging committee for action.  Role of monitoring cell is to make a connection between college and university. The entire report of anti-ragging committee is sent to the university through monitoring cell.  Our college undertaken the measure of extensive publicity against ragging by means of audio-visual aids, counseling seasons , posturing, as it may deem fit from time to time.

Objectives:

1. Anti-ragging committee is responsible for inculcating of ragging free environment in the campus.
2. The anti ragging  squad office bearers will work under the supervision of anti-ragging committee and to engage in the works of checking places like hostels, canteen, classroom and other places of students congregation.
3. Anti-ragging committee will be involved in designing strategies and action plan for curbing the menace of ragging and related punishment there to.

How to Complain:

Complaints against any stake holders of the college indulging in ragging should be immediately brought to the notice any of the members of anti-ragging committee or anti-ragging squad.  The complaint can be made either in writing or telephonically or in digital form mail or what’s app. Link as provided in the college website.
