Details of infrastructural facilities

A) Library- In addition to central library there is a seminar library in the department for providing instant study material to the teachers and students.

B) Internet facilities for staff and students- Available

C) Class rooms with ICT facility- ONE

D) Microbial culture facility room equipped with Laminar Air Flow.

E) Laboratories- The department provides two laboratories for the undergraduate students and honours students.

F) Research laboratory:  research laboratory equipped with sophisticated instruments to carry our research work in the field of microbiology. The laboratory is also designed to carry out novel bioactive compounds from medicinal plants. The following instruments are available for pursuing research- Cold Centrifuge (Hermle) ,Gel Documentation, Microscope (Simple),  Autoclave, Microscope with camera,   Hotplate, Rotary evaporator , DNA/Protein Gel Apparatus,  Gradient Thermal Cycler (PCR), Laminar Air Flow, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, -20º C freezer, Microwave.
